Halloween Ghost?

Hubby and I went for a walk today and I spotted this intriguing looking lichen or fungus on this tree.  Looked like a little ghost to me - perfect for Halloween!  Then when I downloaded it I discovered it also has wings and horns!!  Mother Nature sure has a funny sense of humour sometimes!
