Little Owl

We had a new visitor today - this little Owl.  I first became aware of him when he flew in like a Kamikaze Pilot into a flock of Pine Siskins and Red Polls. He must be learning how as his landing looked more like a belly flop. All the birds scattered and he was left lying on the ground looking for all the world as if he was saying - "I hope no one saw that!!"

This afternoon I was outside and here he was back again, sitting like a wise old owl in the tree. He flew off before I could get some better pictures - but I'm sure he'll be back!
